New layers of Rembrance
On Friday, 20 December 2013, at the ''Modern Art Gallery'' in Subotica, starting at 18 hours Mirko Grlica museum adviser - historian City Museum of Subotica held a lecture, named New layers of memory. A different view of Subotica during construction Raichle Palace.
Within the accompanying exhibition program memory space, which in a very particular way examines the building which houses the ''Gallery of Modern Art'' in Subotica (Raichle Palace), Grlica offered not only a different interpretation of already known information about the beginning of the 20th century in Subotica, but introduce new as well.
What was it like the society in which architect Ferenc Raichle lived? What was the physiognomy of places (Subotica) at the turn of the centuries? Why is palace built in terms of style, which, until then, was not typical for Raichle architecture?
